Benefitting Streams, Fish, and Water Quality
Kitsap County Public Works implements a wide variety of restoration projects to:
- Upgrade older stormwater ponds to function in more natural ways
- Restore streams to improve fish habitat and salmon spawning
- Complete community retrofit and watershed enhancement projects, and improve habitat and water quality
- Replace aging infrastructure with green stormwater systems such as rain gardens, sand filters, tree filter boxes, permeable paving, and other improvements
